NIKKI & MEGGAN SPARK UP STOREEROTICA - Vivid Entertainment won the award for the Best Studio at the Gentlemen's Club Expo and StoreErotica convention in Las Vegas. Veteran marketer John Cornetta accepted the "very special" award on behalf of Steven Hirsch. He noted that the much heralded launch of Vivid a quarter century ago "was only the beginning for this remarkable company, which has become the world's leading adult film studio with an archive of almost 2000 titles. To quote Paul Fishbein of AVN, 'Steven Hirsch and Vivid have almost single-handedly taken the adult industry into the mainstream.'" Vivid Girls Meggan Mallone and Nikki Jayne handed out three major awards at this year's StorErotica Convention and Tradeshow Wednesday at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. The four-day event was held in conjunction with the Gentlemen's Club Expo. An interview with Nikki was the headliner in the AVN coverage of the event by editor Dan Miller. "Nikki Jayne can't wait for her first Vivid Entertainment movie to hit the streets in September," Miller wrote. Noting that "The Nikki Jayne Experiment" will showcase her

SAVANNA PARTIES WITH THE YANKEES - According to the gossip columns Vivid Girl Savanna Samson partied at Rick's Cabaret, the upscale gentlemen's club in New York City, with several New York Yankees players. The widely distributed gossip item originated at TheInsider.com and read: "Savanna Samson had a good time the other night at Rick's Cabaret in New York City. Our spy-witness said that a couple of New York Yankee players seated in the VIP section sent over a bottle of Champagne for her, and she joined their table to thank them. Wall Street banker types seated by the main stage in the packed gentlemen's club were also aware of the x-rated star's presence. They sent over a gaggle of Rick's girls to do topless table dances for her and the ballplayers, which kept everybody smiling until late, late, late. Which Yankees? Club spokesperson Lonnie Hanover said that the club's policy is to not comment on their celebrity clientele." This drew numerous responses and reactions on various blogs, including one from Boston Red Sox blogger, Mike, who said, I'm guessing there is a 90% chance that one of those Yankees was no other than Alex Rodriguez."

"BRAND NEW FACES #10" GETS A RAVE -- "Brand New Faces #10," the latest in the popular newcomers series from Vivid Entertainment, gets a rave review in XCritic. The reviewer who goes by the name of The Horny Housewife gave a "Highly Recommended" nod to the new film, which is directed by B. Skow and contains nearly four hours of action. "What's better than a brand new face in porn? How about 4 brand spanking new faces in one DVD?" asks the Housewife. She was particularly taken with the scene starring a "very cute" Kimmy Thai, in her very first XXX movie performance, with actor Alan Stafford. XCritic praised the movie "from all aspects," from lighting and sound to the addition of a second bonus disc with six extra scenes: "All in all I would highly recommend this," The Horny Housewife concludes.

KIM MAKES THE ABC "DANCING WITH THE STARS" CUT - According to MediaLife, the online trade magazine, ABC-TV has revealed the list of contestants for the upcoming season of "Dancing with the Stars," and it includes Kim Kardashian, star of the Vivid Entertainment movie "Kim Kardashian: Superstar." MediaLife says other contestants include "athletes, ex-boy-banders and reality staples, as well as the all-important soap star...and Misty May-Treanor, who just won a gold medal in Beijing in women's beach volleyball." Kardashian also stars in the family reality show "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" on E! Entertainment. Some inquiring minds have asked if all this fame could be the result of Vivid releasing the sex tape starring Kim and Ray JJ.
