THE MONTANA FISHBURNE PHENOMENON – The attention earned by newly minted adult star Montana Fishburne and her self-titled Vivid movie is nothing short of sensational. From TMZ to CNN, from Actress Archives to E! Entertainment and from AVN to XBiz, it seems everyone has covered the release of the one-hour video, which was rushed into stores by Vivid eight days ahead of schedule.  Montana has appeared on the Joy Behar Show and on CNN Headline News, done radio appearances with dozens of DJs and newscasters around the country, and sat for multiple magazine interviews.  Through it all the daughter of famed actor Laurence Fishburne has maintained a cool, professional demeanor as she discussed her decision to make the film, her relationship with her parents, and her plans for the future. Meanwhile, the first shipment of the Montana Fishburne DVD sold out in a flash and Vivid went back to the disc presses for more.

IT’S A SAVANNA SUMMER IN NYC – Vivid Girl Savanna Samson is all over New York City this summer.  First she was the featured headliner in June at the AIDS Service Center NYC annual Safer Sex in the City  benefit at the hot Chelsea club La Pomme. Then she did a much-viewed online interview with Adversus.com, in which she admitted to interviewer Alessio Cristianini, “I cry at happy things. Like when a team scores a goal or wins a game. I cried when my son hit a grand slam homerun!!! I cry when a performer comes out for the curtain call. It's weird but I can't help it." This week she’s featured in an interview with journalist Ralph Greco in the hot New York City cultural site ShortAndSweet.com, who called her “a true Renaissance woman.”  She restated her Big Apple creds, saying: “I fly to L.A. to work but come back here for normalcy. I have thought about having a house in Beverly Hills while maintaining my apartment here, but I’m not so wrapped up into the whole fantasy of being n L.A. I’m a New York girl.”  Next Wednesday August 18th Savanna hosts a party at Rick’s Cabaret in Manhattan to celebrate Vivid's The Devil in Miss Jones: The Resurrection and also to introduce her new wine. Sogno Tre.  Said Savanna: "I waited a long time to play this juicy role and I'm thrilled that fans are loving it," Samson said of her portrayal of Miss Jones. The movie was directed by Paul Thomas.  Samson’s party is from 6-8 p.m. on Aug. 18 and is open to the public. There will be an open bar from 6-7 p.m. Rick's Cabaret is located at 50 W. 33rd St. between Fifth Avenue and Broadway.

VIVID CHART TOPPERS – Two Vivid movies top the AVN Top 100 Rentals charts this week.
Batman XXX: A Porn Parody and Kendra Exposed are numbers one and two respectively, while Batman XXX also is #2 on the AVN Weekly Retail Buzz chart.  Retailers have already started asking Vivid for displays of the newest Axel Braun parody, Star Wars XXX, but the movie hasn’t  even been produced as yet, only announced.
